5 South UK Promoters You Need To Know #1

1. Kult Diy

Location: Yeovil (plus surrounding areas)
Genres: Alternative / Punk / Hardcore / Ska / Metal

Kult DIY is a passion project by Jamie Musonda Simmonds & Adam Farrar after Jamie dissolved the Yeovil Punk Collective. The duo host a wide range of underground music genres across various venues in Yeovil. Kult DIY don’t just put on shows for local artists, but they also book for UK & international touring artists and give local musicians the opportunities to support them.

 

 

2.  JAR  Records

Location: Essex & Surrounding Areas
Genres: All Genres

JAR Records is an Essex-based promotions company and label putting on events in the surrounding areas. Founded by music enthusiast Josh Unwin, the company was born when Josh had a musical epiphany and decided to form the label. He started by booking his first event in September 2016 at the Asylum in Chelmsford, and he hasn’t looked back since.

 

 

 


 

3. Inbetween Days

Location: Falmouth
Genres: Underground, Indie, Alternative

Inbetween Days is a relatively new live music and club night bookings company based in Falmouth, run by Aj Salisbury of Red Van Records & Clunk Magazine, as well as Kieran Clark from Milo Gore. They’ve managed to bring some of our favourite current local artists down to the seaside town and they have already made a massive mark on the coastal music scene.

 

 

 

4. Uncolletive

Location: Bristol
Genres: Underground, Indie, Alternative

The Uncollective team formed in Cornwall in 2014. They moved to Bristol in 2018, but still maintain relationships in Falmouth, Penzance, Plymouth, Exeter, Dartmoor, Torbay and further afield. They put on every form of creative shows, from events to exhibitions, and they also offer artist management! The team work within Bristol to book various themed events that are full of love and passion – a must have contact for anyone who combines the arts with their music.

 

 

 

5. Apple Shampoo Events

Location: Brighton
Genres: Alternative, Underground,

Apple Shampoo are an events company based in Brighton (UK), who run everything from club nights to live music events, as well as Washed Out Festival – all in the booming seaside tourist spot. The team even offer event production, event marketing, social media, and poster and banner design, so they are no doubt a valuable contact to add to your book.
